What do physical therapists do?

Physical therapists specialize in diagnosing and developing a treatment plan for patients with movement dysfunctions. They are movement experts who improve quality of life through hands-on care, prescribed exercises and patient education.

How is physical therapy paid for?

We will be accepting some insurance providers. For more details, please contact us. For those insurance providers we do not accept, it will be on a fee for service basis. We will give you your exact out of pocket cost prior to the initial evaluation.

Do I need a prescription to begin physical therapy?

Since 2003, physical therapy in New Jersey has been “Direct Access”. This means that you are able to go straight to a physical therapist without a physician’s referral or prescription. With Direct Access, you are able to get back to a pain free life more quickly.
For Medicare patients, it is required that the patient receives a script for physical therapy from the doctor prior to treatment.
