What do physical therapists do?

Physical therapists specialize in diagnosing and developing a treatment plan for patients with movement dysfunctions. They are movement experts who improve quality of life through hands-on care, prescribed exercises and patient education.

How is physical therapy paid for?

We are in network with Medicare, Horizon BCBS,  Braven Health, Aetna, Aetna Medicare and AmeriHealth. For those insurance providers we do not accept, it will be on a fee for service basis. We will give you your exact out of pocket cost prior to the initial evaluation and will also provide you with a super bill that you can submit to the insurance company. 

Do I need a prescription to begin physical therapy?

Since 2003, physical therapy in New Jersey has been “Direct Access”. This means that you are able to go straight to a physical therapist without a physician’s referral or prescription. With Direct Access, you are able to get back to the things you love and a pain free life quicker. 

What are the benefits of physical therapy?

Physical therapy provides a wide range of benefits including, but not limited to: reduced pain, improvements in mobility, prevention of injury/surgery, recovery from injury/surgery, improving balance, rehabilitation from neurological and cardiovascular disorders and much more.
